Synopsis:
Yoshio (Ryo Narita), a down-on-his-luck manga artist, lives in the destitute Kita Town. One day, his landlord, Oya Ji (Naoto Takenaka), who seems to dabble in shady dealings beyond his apartment management, enlists Yoshio's help with a moving job. Joined by Imori (Go Morita), an aspiring novelist, Yoshio crosses paths with Fukuko (Eriko Nakamura), a recently divorced woman whose seductive charm leaves him captivated. Yet, he soon realizes that Fukuko may already be seeing someone.
Imori, bent on getting his work published, teams up with a dubious publisher's representative to launch a promotional magazine for Kita Town, modeled after a trendy publication from the affluent Minami Town.
Yoshio, reluctantly, is pulled into helping with the magazine’s advertising. Soon after, both Fukuko and Imori move into Yoshio's apartment, leading to an unusual living arrangement where Yoshio, still holding onto his feelings for Fukuko, finds himself in a peculiar shared life with the two.
